We are an eco friendly house; 100% of our heat is from a wood burning stove, our water flows gravity from a spring on the land, and our electricity is by Airtricity. We compost and recycle and produce organic beef, lamb, vegetables, fruit and eggs for ourselves, visitors and friends alike.
We established a conservation area of 25 acres to help preserve the pure strain of the native Irish ferral goat. Our farm has also been used as an example of best practice by the Farming for Conservation Programme and Teagasc and has been a resource for study programmes by national and international universities.
Our ecotourism experience is accredited by Ecotourism Ireland.
